Nazareth Area Food Bank Fighting Hunger... Feeding Hope

Welcome  -  We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, federally tax exempt 501 (c)(3) organization

We're thrilled to report that the six Nazareth-area Scouting organizations that donate their "Scouting for Food" collections to the Food Bank far surpassed last year's total.

With more probable to come, the Food Bank received 11,877 pounds on Nov. 9, or only 123 pounds shy of 6 tons!  That eclipsed last year's total of 9,435 pounds by a wide margin.

Thankfully, we had lots of participation by young volunteers to help cart the donated food into the building.  Those of us who have done this before could tell at a glance that this year's collection easily exceeded last year's.

Next comes three morning and evening sessions -- next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday -- to process it all onto our shelves.

Thanks to all Nazareth-area residents for their generosity in helping the Food Bank to address food insecurity and to all the Scouts and their families for their collections.  It's all truly a blessing!
